Your Responsibilities:
As the Matron for Children & Young People, you’ll:

Provide leadership and guidance to nursing and support staff within your sphere of responsibility, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and service delivery.
Collaborate with specialty teams and service line colleagues to optimize patient care and service delivery across pediatric services.
Act as a visible and authoritative presence in your area of responsibility, offering support and guidance to patients, families, and staff as needed.

• Contribute to the strategic direction of the service and specialties by meeting key performance indicators and national/local activity targets.
• Manage patient flow efficiently and effectively, ensuring compliance with clinical governance standards and regulations.

• RSCN/RN (Child) & NMC registration
• 1st Level degree in nursing or health-related or equivalent experience
teaching experience/qualification
Desirable

• Masters Qualification in relevant discipline
• Leadership/management qualification
• Previously worked as an operational matron
Knowledge, training & expereince

• Extensive clinical & managerial credibility/expertise at B7 or above in paediatric nursing
• Demonstrates leadership and management skills
• Ability to manage complex & unpredictable situations, to problem solve and make difficult decisions
